Andalucía brings together in Granada the teams that prescribe physical exercise from the health system

Health and sports professionals from the Active Physical Exercise Units meet at the Escuela Andaluza de Salud Pública in Granada to coordinate local projects. In Andalucía there are 47 units that have attended to 1,394 people.
Health and sports professionals working in the Active Physical Exercise Units (UAEF) meet this Tuesday at the Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP), in Granada, to share experiences and strengthen coordination of the projects developed in the territory. The second meeting will be on October 22 at the Estadio de la Cartuja in Sevilla.
What the units are
The UAEF are part of the Junta de Andalucía model to facilitate the recommendation and prescription of physical exercise from the public health system and connect it with municipal sports resources. There are currently 47 active units, which have attended to 1,394 people.
The initiative is part of the Andalusian Plan for the Prescription of Physical Exercise (PAPEF), in which the Regional Ministries of Presidency, Health and Emergencies and of Culture, Historical Heritage and Sports work jointly.
What is addressed in the sessions
The sessions are aimed at the teams involved in the implementation, operation and consolidation of the units. They analyze the situation of local projects and share experiences from different municipalities.
The program includes the presentation of initiatives on public policies for physical activity, the launch of a unit and the coordination between health centers and units, as well as the exchange of common problems and solutions transferable to other projects.
Part of the meetings is dedicated to joint work by the teams to review the circuits of prescription, referral, reception, follow-up and return of information among professionals, in order to identify needs and proposals for improvement.

The meetings are for professionals from the health and sports fields involved in the UAEF. The information comes from the Andalusian School of Public Health, an institution of the Regional Ministry of Presidency, Health and Emergencies.
