The Pabellón Multiusos Ferial de Huétor Tájar hosted the Huétor Tájar Go! festival this weekend, an event dedicated to alternative leisure and Asian culture that could be visited with free entry.

Video games, workshops and cosplay

According to the Ayuntamiento de Huétor Tájar, the gathering brought together in a single space hobbies with a strong following among young audiences, such as video games, manga, anime, K-pop and cosplay. One of the busiest areas was the video game and virtual reality zone, where those who attended could try digital and immersive entertainment experiences. The programme also included board games, participatory workshops, karaoke, a stage with various activities and an axe-throwing zone, alongside interactive photocalls for taking photos.

A space for Asian culture

Asian culture had a prominent place, with an area dedicated to traditions from countries such as Japan, Korea and China. This was joined by K-pop, the South Korean music phenomenon, and cosplay, in which participants dress up as their favourite characters from films, series, comics and video games. The venue also featured themed zones inspired by universes such as Pokémon and One Piece, commercial merchandising spaces and an artists' area with illustrations, handmade products and manga and anime creations.

Municipal collaboration

The festival was held with the collaboration of the Ayuntamiento de Huétor Tájar, which presents it as a celebration of alternative leisure and Asian culture in the municipality.
