The Salón de Grados Antonio Jiménez Torrecillas of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura hosts on Wednesday, October 21, at 12:30 hours, the awards ceremony of the ideas competition «Espacios dinámicos para la convivencia» of the Universidad de Granada.
The competition has been developed jointly by the Higher Technical School of Architecture (ETSAG) and the Faculty of Education Sciences of the University of Granada. At the event, the winning proposal, «MATERIA», will be presented, the prizes will be awarded and the submitted works can be viewed.
What the competition proposes
The starting point is a need raised by the Faculty of Education Sciences: to improve its outdoor spaces. Bachelor's and Master's students of the ETSAG have worked on that improvement by applying what they learned in their training to a specific case, with the capacity to truly transform the surroundings.
As the ETSAG explains, the uniqueness of the experience lies in intervening in the heritage and spaces of the University itself, and in opening up avenues of collaboration with other centres.
Who takes part in the event
Katia Caballero Rodríguez, dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences; Marga Sánchez Romero, vice-rector of University Extension, Heritage and Institutional Relations; Germán Martínez Montes, vice-rector of Infrastructures and Sustainability, and Roser Martínez Ramos, director of the ETSAG, will speak.
The ETSAG especially invites students and teaching staff to attend and learn about the prize-winning proposals.

The event will be on Wednesday, October 21, at 12:30 hours, in the Salón de Grados Antonio Jiménez Torrecillas of the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Granada. Admission is free for those who wish to attend.
