The families of Felipe Fernández Fajardo and Francisco Rodríguez López will receive the remains of their relatives at a public ceremony at the Centro Cultural Federico García Lorca in Padul. They are the first two victims identified among the 35 people already exhumed by the interdisciplinary team Universidad y Memoria of the University of Granada in the mass graves of the Cementerio Municipal de Padul.
The identification was possible thanks to the genetic analyses of the Laboratorio de Genética of the University of Granada and the DNA comparison with samples provided by their descendants. The ceremony will bring together relatives, institutional representatives and members of the research team.
