The Diputación de Granada has hosted the first Good Practices Session of the EDIL Andalucía Network, an initiative of the Federación Andaluza de Municipios y Provincias (FAMP) so that local entities exchange experiences and can more easily implement the Integrated Action Plans (PAI) financed with FEDER funds in the 2021-2027 period.

A practical workshop between territories

The session has been designed as a practical working workshop. The aim is for the different territories to learn first-hand how the cities that have already made progress in the selection of operations have acted, to identify the administrative difficulties that arise and to share solutions. The network thus seeks to ensure that no local entity has to face on its own technical problems that other administrations have already solved.

The Armilla cycle-pedestrian route, as an example

During the meeting, the technicians of the Diputación de Granada presented the management experience of the cycle-pedestrian route of the Armilla air base. According to the provincial institution, it is one of the first operations registered in Spain and its development is presented as an example of agile management that can guide other Andalusian town councils in the execution of their projects.

More than 52 million mobilised

The president of the Diputación de Granada, Francis Rodríguez, has stated that the institution has worked with a defined strategy through its Urban Agendas, which "has allowed us to mobilise more than 52 million euros of European investment". Rodríguez has added that "we are clear that European funds must translate into real projects and opportunities for our municipalities" and has defended collaboration between administrations so that resources reach the municipalities and projects are sped up.

What the EDIL Network is

The EDIL Andalucía Network is promoted by the FAMP and brings together local entities of the community to share good practices in the management of European financing. With this first session, the network strengthens cooperation between administrations and the transfer of experiences in order to take advantage of financing opportunities and launch the planned actions sooner.
