The DANA Adam storm leaves 696 emergencies managed by 112 in Andalusia since Saturday, 62 of them in Granada. The Junta deactivates the Flood Plan as the warnings disappear, although two roads remain closed in Córdoba.
The Junta de Andalucía has deactivated the Emergency Plan for Flood Risk after the adverse weather warnings have disappeared in the eight provinces. Storm DANA Adam leaves 696 incidents coordinated by the 112 Andalucía service since last Saturday.
Granada, sixth province by number of warnings
In Granada, 62 incidents have been managed, behind Almería (180), Cádiz (156), Málaga (154), Sevilla (84) and ahead of Córdoba (43), Jaén (12) and Huelva (five). The three most affected provinces, Almería, Cádiz and Málaga, account for 490 emergencies, more than 70% of the Andalusian total.
By type of warning, most have been natural risks, with 451 incidents, especially flooding and waterlogging. There have also been 74 anomalies in basic services, 46 rescues and saves, 43 traffic incidents, 34 collapses or falling elements, 13 road accidents and two medical assistances, as well as another 33 of a different nature.
Two roads remain closed in Córdoba
The road network is back to normal except in the province of Córdoba, where two roads remain affected with three sections closed. On the CO-4103, traffic is not possible between kilometres 0 and 13, between Bujalance and Villa del Río. On the CO-4207, the closure runs from kilometre 0 to 9.1, between Montilla and Montalbán de Córdoba, including the La Zarza bridge, between kilometres 5 and 6. In Sevilla, the SE-6300 has reopened as it passes through Lebrija.
The early morning rains have been scarce: the highest accumulations were recorded in Vejer de la Frontera (Cádiz), with 7.4 litres per square metre; Villarrodrigo (Jaén), with 2.6; Villanueva del Arzobispo (Jaén), with 1.6, and Córdoba-Prágdena, with 1.2.
Caution in the affected areas
Although the plan is deactivated, the Agencia de Emergencias de Andalucía asks for caution to be maintained where effects persist and for road signs on closed roads to be respected. The first vice-president and councillor for Presidency, Health and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, has thanked citizens for their collaboration and recalled that "following self-protection guidelines saves lives". Sanz has stated that the advice has been spread through social media and through two ES-Alert messages sent to the population of Almería.
What to do
There are no procedures or deadlines to meet. Anyone travelling through Córdoba should avoid the CO-4103 between Bujalance and Villa del Río and the CO-4207 between Montilla and Montalbán de Córdoba, and follow the signs. In case of emergency, the phone number is 112.
