Nine agri-food companies from the province are taking part in the SIAL Paris 2026 fair, one of the sector's main global events, held from October 17 to 21 in the French capital. The trade mission is promoted by the Diputación de Granada within the Sabor Granada program.

Which companies are going

The delegation is made up of Jamones Rodona, Olé mis croquetas, Frutos Secos EYMA, Viver Kombucha, Conde de Benalúa, La tarta de la madre de Cris, Helados Nordwik, DOMCA and Aceites Echinac. The goal is to open new markets, establish business contacts and strengthen the international presence of Granada products. According to the deputy for European Funds, Development, Industry and Employment, Antonio Díaz, the action is part of the Diputación's strategy to support the agri-food sector and facilitate its access to new markets.

Support at the fair

The mission is organized through agreements between the Diputación Provincial and Cámara Granada via the PYME Global program. Cámara Granada will mobilize 36.000 euros for an on-site technical support program: a consultancy specializing in SIAL will offer strategic market information, provide contact agendas and offer language assistance and translation during business meetings. Participation is channeled through the Pyme Global grant call, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), which covers a large part of travel, accommodation and fairground access expenses.

The weight of the sector

The provincial agri-food sector reaches a turnover close to 1.000 million euros. Olive groves account for around 70 % of the sector's activity and fruit and vegetables for more than 50 %, according to the data collected for this initiative. Agri-food activity is key for direct and indirect employment and for keeping population in rural municipalities. SIAL Paris expects more than 300.000 professionals and 8.000 companies from more than 130 countries.

How to participate

Companies interested in future calls should contact the Diputación de Granada or Cámara Granada through the PYME Global program, which manages the grants co-financed by FEDER for travel, accommodation and access to the fair.
