Six chambers of commerce create the Círculo Cameral de Sostenibilidad

The Chambers of Commerce of Granada, Sevilla, Valencia, Cartagena, Motril and Andújar have taken the first step to create the Círculo Cameral de Sostenibilidad, open to companies and administrations, during the Feria de Sostenibilidad de Granada.
The Chambers of Commerce of Granada, Sevilla, Valencia, Cartagena, Motril and Andújar have agreed to launch the Círculo Cameral de Sostenibilidad, a space to which they invite the rest of the chamber network and to which companies and administrations may also join. The initiative was presented on the second day of the VI Feria de Sostenibilidad organised by Cámara Granada together with Granada institutions and Canal Sur.
What the Círculo is
As explained by Mar Rodríguez, head of the sustainability office at Cámara Granada, the chambers conceive the Círculo as an ecosystem of the productive, social and administrative fabric "for innovation and collaboration in this field, as well as a space for mutual learning, exchange and co-creation".
The project is coordinated from the Cámara de Comercio de España and starts from the idea that social and environmental challenges can become opportunities for innovation, business and positive impact. The chambers also state their intention to activate investment and access to green financing and to integrate communication in companies as part of their sustainability efforts.
A fair with three hundred people
The Feria de Sostenibilidad de Granada closed this midday with around fifteen companies in its exhibition area and the participation of more than three hundred people in the two days of talks.
The second session focused on the need to create local alliances to tackle global problems, under the premise that it is these alliances that can generate concrete actions to meet sustainability challenges.
