The Real Federación de Hermandades y Cofradías de Semana Santa de Granada has suspended the closing event of the exhibition of the Concurso Fotográfico de la Semana Santa de Granada 2027, which was scheduled for Saturday, October 30 at 20:30. The decision is due to the official mourning decreed in Spain for the train accident that occurred in Urda (Toledo), according to the Federación.
The ruling will be announced through official channels
The closing event will not be held. Instead, once the jury has finished deliberating, the Federación will publish the minutes with the contest ruling and the winning photographs through its official communication channels.
The exhibition, installed in the Sala Multiusos of the Ayuntamiento de Granada, in the plaza del Carmen, brought together 175 photographs and, according to the announcement disseminated by the Federación on October 17, could be visited until that same Friday from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:30.
Condolences to the victims
The Federación has expressed its condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the accident and has thanked participants and visitors for their understanding, to whom it has apologized for any inconvenience the suspension may cause.
What to do
Those interested in learning the result of the contest do not need to carry out any procedure: it is enough to keep an eye on the official channels of the Real Federación, where the jury's minutes with the winning works will be published once its deliberation concludes.
