The Granadown Association has presented its 2027 calendar in Baza, dedicated to giving visibility to people with Down syndrome. The mayor, Pedro J. Ramos, and councillors Mª Carmen Sánchez and Mª Carmen López attended the event, held at the Chamber of Commerce.
Granadown Association's 2027 calendar is now available. The organisation presented it on Tuesday, October 20 at an event at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of Baza, under the slogan "Lives of Overcoming", with the aim of giving visibility to the work it carries out in favour of people with Down syndrome and their social integration.
Municipal presence and that of a young woman from Baza
The presentation was attended by the mayor of Baza, Pedro J. Ramos, and councillors Mª Carmen Sánchez and Mª Carmen López. Sonia Molina Lorente was also there, a young woman from Baza with Down syndrome who is doing an internship at the Municipal Library of Baza thanks to the agreement between the City Council and Granadown.
The president of Granadown, Francisco Hidalgo, stated during the event that "we can all be actors of social change". The mayor, for his part, said at the end of the presentation that the City Council has come to "support this magnificent initiative" and that "we must move from words to deeds", and he held Sonia up as an example.
