The event presents the project of the Granada Territorial Innovation Center (CIT Granada) and advances the activation of its specialized headquarters in agri-food innovation. CIT Granada will have two territorial headquarters, in Cádiar and Ugíjar, and seeks to connect the needs of rural municipalities with the knowledge, technology and resources of universities, research centers, companies and institutions.
It will focus on traditional sectors of the Alpujarra such as agriculture, viticulture, the production of almond, fig, honey, cheeses and wines, and on the use of wild and aromatic plants. Among its objectives are to learn about innovative business experiences, bring research closer to the productive fabric, detect training and digitalization needs, boost commercialization and foster alliances between agents in the sector.
The program includes the institutional welcome, the presentation of the CIT Granada project, two panels of experts and business experiences, an open debate with attendees and the establishment of a working group to activate the node and define an initial roadmap.
