The route will have two weekly frequencies, Thursdays and Sundays, after being suspended since March.
Federico García Lorca Airport in Granada once again has a direct air connection with Bilbao. Vueling is resuming the route this Sunday, October 25, with two weekly frequencies, on Thursdays and Sundays, during the winter season. The link had been suspended since March of this year.
Flight times
On Thursdays, the plane leaves Bilbao at 11:25 and arrives in Granada at 12:55. The return flight takes off from the Granada airport at 13:30 and lands in the Biscayan capital at 14:55.
On Sundays, the flight departs from Bilbao at 7:05 and arrives in Granada at 8:35. The departure from Granada is at 9:10, with arrival in Bilbao at 10:35. The journey lasts approximately an hour and a half and is expected to be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft.
For weekend and business trips
The connection makes weekend getaways and professional and personal travel between the two territories easier, according to the Diputación de Granada. It also broadens the opportunities to attract domestic visitors and to strengthen provincial tourism activity throughout the year.
The provincial deputy for Tourism, Mónica Castillo, has welcomed the recovery of the route, which in her view will boost the arrival of visitors from the País Vasco and improve communications with one of the main urban and economic centres of northern Spain. «El País Vasco constitutes a market of great interest due to its capacity to generate travellers, and this route allows us to bring our tourism offer closer to an audience that particularly values culture, gastronomy, nature and quality experiences», Castillo has stated.
Ticket booking
Flights can be booked through Vueling's usual channels. The route operates on Thursdays and Sundays during the winter season.
